About the Las Vegas Hyenas

The Las Vegas Hyenas is a first-of-its-kind team dedicated to developing top young prospects in preparation for the overseas competition. Based in Las Vegas, the roster includes elite players who are eligible to play overseas as well as established veterans who serve as mentors to the team’s young talent. The Las Vegas Hyenas focuses on high-level competition and accelerated on-court development for players who are beginning their professional careers. Additionally, the Hyenas provides life skills training that includes financial literacy education, community service involvement and job opportunities. While the Hyenas is not a traditional basketball team, exhibition games includes games against semi-pro basketball teams and friendly games against international teams.

Las Vegas Hyenas History

The Las Vegas Hyenas were founded on October 1, 2023, and they tipped off their inaugural season in December 2024. In doing so, we became Las Vegas' first-ever international exhibition basketball team franchise. After doing extensive marketing research, we adopted the Hyenas moniker as well as the classic midnight black, burgundy red, grey and white color scheme that has become synonymous with Las Vegas basketball.

What to expect at a Las Vegas Hyenas game:

During games, fans can expect a fun, family-friendly environment, highlighted by entertainment squads, and off-the-court fun. They can also expect to see some of basketball's rising stars in high-level competition, looking to make an impact during overseas competition.

At Las Vegas Hyenas games, our fans will see former NCAA Division I or II players, in addition to established veterans who have previous overseas experience. The Las Vegas Hyenas will deliver exciting, fast-paced basketball at an affordable price!
